Bomar, Pascoe among 7 on Giants practice squad

09/05/2010 - EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Quarterback Rhett Bomar is back with the New York Giants. Bomar, who threw more passes than any other Giant this preseason, was among seven players signed to the team's practice squad on Sunday. The Giants say they also signed tight ends Jake Ballard and Bear Pascoe, center Jim Cordle, defensive tackle Nate Collins, cornerback Seth Williams and safety Sha'reff Rashad. All seven were with the team in training camp. All were released in the final cuts on Saturday, except Ballard, who was let go about two weeks ago, when Dominic Randolph was signed because of injuries at the quarterback position.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. Out west, 22nd-ranked Arizona State will be battling for their first victory over 21st-ranked California since 2000. Although the Golden Bears are listed as 7.5-point favorites, the Sun Devils are 3-0, lead the nation in sacks with 18 and possess the Pac-10's leading passer in sophomore quarterback Rudy Carpenter.
